1. Kicking off this week’s coffee talk, is my newest obsession: Black windows. Or really, just the color black in general. We’re in the process of designing our family bathroom and it’s clad with black trim. Having to work with this feature, I came to the realization that the color just brings a level of sophistication and timelessness to a space.

At this point black windows are rising in popularity, but in my opinion, they are classic and timeless.

2. I get so many compliments on this Mother of Dragons T-Shirt, so I just had to add it to the list for all my Game of Thrones fans out there. Also, it’s worth mentioning that I have three little boys that I call my dragons, so I’m basically Daenarys.

3.Girl Wash Your Face. I just started reading this book by Rachel Hollis this week, and it has been life changing. I don’t say that lightly. Rachel dives into different lies we as women believe and how to overcome them. On both a personal and business level, this book is chock full of “Get off your butt” encouragement.
It has seriously lit a fire under me to go out and build the life that I want. I cannot recommend this book enough!

4. Zero Waste Home Blog. I’m kind of a hippie. Have I mentioned that? Like save the earth, hug the trees, vegan eating hippie. (Don’t worry though, I won’t judge you for eating bacon. It is freaking delicious)
But author Bea Johnson takes saving the earth to a whole new level. She and her family can literally fit their trash for an entire year, IN A JAR! Like a mason jar. Here’s a picture to prove it.

I want to be her when I grow up.
I started reading her book and have adopted some of her practices. Such as using a canvas tote and mesh cotton produce bags to do our grocery shopping, replacing our liquid shampoo and conditioner with solid bars, and of course switching to stainless steel straws #stopsucking.
My family will likely never be as radical as Bea, but we can still do our part!

5.In less crunchy news, Seth and I are prepping for our first ever garage sale! We finally cleaned out our basement (Hoarder status) and figured it was the perfect opportunity to sell the excess and earn a bit of money for my tuition. I’ll let you all know how it goes!
Have a fantastic weekend!
